well, keep art fun after awhile the same thing gets boring.
therefore with all of my free time I thought of a new way to do... well something. and it is fun and of course the few people that read my journals wont even try this so im wasting my time
anyway:
1st rule: use photos. with a few overused photoshop effects (like cutout, and gradient effects.)
2nd rule: for a section you can not use a photo for that section.(I.E. if you want clouds, you CAN NOT use a photo with clouds). [get it?]
actuall parts of comp:
(for the most part) crystallagraphic background (the sky in most)
it cant only be the sky so it needs a forground like mountains, and cities etc...
oh hey theres another rule the main reason why I do this is for fun so keep it fun and dont get annoyed for an effect you are trying to achieve and cant succeed. if it pisses you off to do something it probably means you arent making the comp dorky enough so change your plan and it will end up making you happy.
I realize maybe someone won't understand this and I wouldnt leave them without examples so ill post some up in a moment.
also, crstallagraphic would mean something that is exactly repeated in a pic and has no focal point but still can hold attention. most famous example of this is that campbells tomato soup can piece by Andy Warhol. and the marylin manroe one.
anyway try this and keep it fun.
